Are you able to communicate effectively with colleagues and subordinates of different nationalities?

95% of Japanese expatriates
"I feel very anxious when speaking English"
He replied.
Do you have any of these concerns?

I'm worried that my English will sound childish.
I tend to only use Japanese in meetings
I feel uncomfortable because I rely too much on employees who can speak Japanese.
I can't give advice to subordinates of different nationalities
I don't have any local friends
However, actions such as only speaking Japanese can sometimes lead to unexpected damage.
In 2023, it made the news when the U.S. branch of a major Japanese bank filed a lawsuit against a former American employee for 1.4 billion yen in damages for "discrimination against non-Japanese employees."
However, everyday actions that you do without thinking because you are not confident in your English can lead to real harm, such as legal risks for your company or individuals . It can also lead to poor internal cooperation, which can have a negative impact on budgets and deadlines.
